The CoBo Museum
CoBo: the Bontadi coffee museum in Rovereto
Why a
coffee museum in Rovereto
? Because Caffè Bontadi is the oldest coffee roasting company in Italy, and maintains the secrets of its craft as well as coffee production tools from every era. We decided to share this great heritage with all connoisseurs and in January 2016 we inaugurated CoBo.
What is CoBo? The history of Coffee in a museum in Rovereto
CoBo is an
acronym for Collezione Bontadi (Bontadi Collection)
. Our Coffee Museum started here, from a small private collection held for over 200 years in our roasting areas. Over time these objects became pieces of history, acquiring value and meaning.
The creation of a
coffee museum
next to our production facility in the heart of
Rovereto
seemed the best way to pay homage to our history.
The collection
The CoBo collection
includes about 300 pieces
that retrace the history of Bontadi and coffee, from the first roasters from the end of the 1700s to the forerunners of our coffee pots, to the latest generation coffee bar espresso machines.
Over two centuries of history are preserved in a single location, entirely designed to host the coffee museum.
